Hi, I’m Amy!

I am a Registered Dietitian who believes food is so much more than nourishment. Food is love, fun, and so deeply intertwined with family, culture, and life. It is my goal to help you get back in touch with these aspects of eating and food. I believe that every body deserves love and respect, and every body deserves to enjoy eating without guilt or shame. Living in a world where diet culture and nutrition myths are so rampant can be difficult for anyone, and I am here to help you navigate through these challenges so you can get back to living your best and happiest life.

My counseling style is client-centered, gentle and non-judgemental. I use an anti-diet, Intuitive Eating and Health at Every Size (HAES)-informed approach, which focuses on getting back in touch with and trusting your body’s internal cues as well as respecting and embracing the diversity of all body sizes and shapes. I approach nutrition from a holistic perspective, taking into account an individual’s unique past lived experiences, culture, and values.

I am licensed in both Pennsylvania and Texas with a BS in Nutrition & Dietetics from Messiah University and an MS in Community Nutrition from West Chester University. I have been a dietitian since 2015 and have extensive experience in outpatient nutrition counseling working with individuals with a variety of medical conditions. I also have experience working at the Eating Recovery Center in Plano, TX with individuals receiving treatment for eating disorders at the inpatient, residential, and partial hospitalization (PHP) levels of care.

Special areas of interest:

  • Chronic dieting

  • Moms struggling with postpartum body changes and/or feeding themselves (and their littles) who want to instill a healthy relationship with food and body to their children

  • Individuals trying to conceive, and those struggling with fertility (specifically PCOS, Hypothalamic amenorrhea (HA))

  • Newly diagnosed eating disorders, Binge Eating Disorder (BED)

  • Anyone looking to manage a chronic health condition from a non-weight centric approach

Get to know me

  • I love food (surprise, surprise), and love experimenting with new recipes and exploring different cuisines. I grew up in a big Italian family, where food was always central to any get together. As early as I can remember, I was in the kitchen on a stool helping my mom cook!

  • I am a proud dog and a toddler boy mom. It only felt right to name my son Shai, meaning “gift”, as I myself have PCOS and struggled to conceive.

  • I love the outdoors, and hiking is a huge passion of mine. The bigger the scenic overlook, the better!

  • I am in an interracial marriage and raising a bi-racial son, and I cannot wait to teach him to love, appreciate, and cook both Italian and Indian food.
